Not Sure If Paypal Is Getting Payments

Tim,
I had two clients contact me yesterday to tell me that "Test Mode" was on and their payment wasn't going to go through. I found the screen with that option and unchecked the "Test Mode" box. I don't know how that got checked, but I'd already had about 30 clients go through the checkout and none of them contacted me about it. I've been getting the emails with the orders, but only started getting emails from PayPal saying money was received (from those two clients). Is it possible that the first 30 clients placed their order in "Test Mode" and their payments were not processed? Do you (or I) have any way of checking on that?

Could you check your PayPal account and see what payments you've received?

Damn. Just checked PP and it appears none of the first 30 payments went through. Hard to believe none of them let me know "Test Mode" was popping up when making their payments, but it's the only thing I think it could've been. Thanks.

In test mode nothing gets charged (no money is taken out of their PayPal account) and displays the message "TEST MODE ON - NO PAYMENT WILL BE PROCESSED".

So Tim... just to confirm, there is no way to now push those 30+ payments through to PayPal, is that correct? I'm going to have to go through the arduous and embarrassing task of contacting them to have them redo their order, or simply give me their credit card number over the phone to process the payment, correct?

This is totally my fault, but as a first time user, I thought I'd tested everything and it looked good. Did not realize I needed to uncheck a box to go live.

There isn't a way to push those payments through. They went into a sandbox/test site for PayPal and no money was taken out of their accounts and no way to try to reprocess them.

You should probably trash all those orders (change the status to Trash) and have them reorder.

Thanks Tim. I'm calling them all today, most are just giving a cc # over the phone. A few will redo it online. More a pain than anything else. First time user, still working out the kinks and learning the screens.
