Page Designer Creates Multiple Files In ~/sy-photos/page-photos

I read in another post that there currently is not a way to use photos that may already be on the website, which I can understand as this is a new-ish tool and feature additions I am sure on the way (which I would +1 if possible).

However in the mean time, while using Page Designer if you need to delete an element then re-select/load the image(s) for the new element an additional file is created in ~/sy-photos/page-photos (screenshot is from the folder downloaded via FTP). Is there a way to remove the images/files not being used (i.e. a cron or other cleansing script) to prevent bloat within the site structure?

There is an option when uploading a new photo to an element to "Delete existing photo". This will delete the photo in the element when you upload a new one.

Other than that there is not another option. The photos uploaded with the page designer don't go into a database like photos in the backend so there is no log of what photos are uploaded or exist in the page designer.
