OK, I have searched and read and searched on how to omit these search boxes!!
I have found where my home page was checked by the search icon and that took care of that. On this section I have checked every level and the photo display setting on each section and category and page and find Nothing marked. I know I am missing it and when you tell me where to look I will feel like an idiot!! I got to ask! Where is it?

I don't know how that is even possible. Have you changed any code in the layout files in Deisgn -> Page Display & Content Listing layouts? If so, might be missing closing tags.
