Change Of Web Address/ How Will That Affect Login?

I recently bought the Sytist program, and began to rebuild my site. I contacted my hosting company, which is GoDaddy, and they set up the new site on a brand new server with a .net address. the current original site is on a .com. the tech advised that when the site was ready, he would migrate my .com domain name to the new site. Does anyone know how that will affect my login process to the admin section? Right now it is directing to the .net address. Is there somewhere I can change this setting?

Once the .com is added to the hosting, just use the same address you are now but change .net to .com in the address.
