Pre-sell Gallery Issues

I did a test order for a pre-sell gallery to see what it would be like from the client's side.
I purchased two collections. One I set the price for one penny, and one I made free. I purchased both collections, and it all went through.

Do I need to manually publish pre-register galleries? I set a start and expire date on the pre-register gallery but it didn't seem to auto-publish, but maybe that was a misunderstanding on my part.
Once I published the gallery, I never got an email notifying me of the gallery going live. Is there a setting I may have missed? I had previously gone in and signed up for email notifications to this gallery.
Last odd thing, is that when I went back into the gallery to fulfill my purchases, I only saw the one collection that was $0.01 in my cart. The one I set for free was not in my cart. Is that because it was free? If so, that won't be an issue in the future because none of our collections will be free, but I want to make sure our clients won't have missing items.

When you have a gallery in pre-registration, after you have uploaded the photos and the gallery it ready, you need to change the status to Publish then save.

If you have the pre-sell packages set so they select from pre-register galleries, after you have changed the status to publish, click the People tab to email those people.

I just tested purchased 2 collections and both are in my cart after checkout. I could be that it was free.
