Price And Feature Compare Tables

Hello Everyone!

I'm attempting to create a product/package comparison table. Previously I used WordPress and this was pretty simple with a plugin, now that I've switched my site to Sytist, I lost the plugin capability.

Some examples of what I'm trying to produce: https://www.webpagefx.com/blog/web-design/pricing-tables-examples/

Does anyone have suggestions on how to implement a pricing compare table on a Sytist site?

I found a site (https://www.pricerninja.com) that hosts pricing tables. You make the tables on their site, copy/paste HTML/javascript, then the tables are always current with any modifications you make.

Attached is a screenshot of the code you are to copy/paste. Would this be possible with Sytist?
I've attempted to use the plain text design element, switch to HTML, but every time I add HTML content and click done/save, it disappears (this is with all HTML, not just the code in the screenshot)

Please let me know if you need additional information, and thanks in advance for your help!

Hi John,

I'm working on something like this currently. It's not with HTML but with the Advance Page Templates. It's a work in progress but you'll see what i'm trying to do. Let me know if this is what you're looking to do.

William - Thanks for the example . . . not exactly the look/function I was trying for, but that looks really nice (issue w/ mobile version though, it would not keep the categories and cause long scrolls ... possible confusion). Great site though William, I'm in PA as well (KOP area). I'll be launching my site soon ( https://photosentials.com )

Tim - Thanks for the suggestion w/ columns, I will use that as a last resort. Do you know any reason why the HTML function within editing a text section design element would not work? When I click on the HTML icon within editing the text. I enter the HTML code and click done. After clicking done/save, the HTML disappears/never saves. Is this a known issue or there not a function to incorporate additional HTML within a page?

Thanks again to both of you for your time!

John,

Do you have the HTML code that you were trying to use? I'll try something out on my site and see how it works.

Glad to know theirs, local Sytist users, around here. I saved your website, and I'll keep in touch with you.

William,

Yes, there is a screenshot in my first post that has the HTML / Java code. https://www.pricerninja.com or https://www.compareninja.com are just examples of sites that you can host pricing/compare tables that auto update on a website.

In general though, seems that any HTML code that is placed in a text box does not save when using page designer.

The text editor when editing the page in the admin will screw up the code you add.

To add HTML, add it into the video area below the text editor in the video embed code area. It will accept the HTML.

Hi Tim - I'm now noticing when using the video embed code area that it is pulling my compare tables from the external site, but seems to be stripping the color, font, other properties. The text is there, just not the formatting.

I'm guessing that the master theme is overwriting this . . . if this is true, is there a way to have an individual page not use a theme?

Thanks

I would really need to be able to see it to tell if the theme is overriding the styling or not. Post or email me a link where I can see (and you will also need to open the site, it is currently closed).
