Hi Tim,

Sorry, I'm getting older and these things take a bit of drumming in to get through to me...

When I am wanting to upload sub galleries via Filezilla, what address do I find the sy-upload folder in?

Thanks
Steve

Hi again,

I have managed to FTP files into the sy-upload folder however I have another problem now.

I am using Datapost for my school photography and it automatically generates the password (unique key) for each student which is great. I can create a CSV file with the sub folder name and password of each student however, the problem is, Datapost creates the password in upper case not lower case as is required by Sytist. is there a work around for this?

I have tried uploading photos and passwords but they don't work. I can see the photos in the category fine but can not find them through the website when I put the password in.

Thanks
Steve

The case shouldn't matter. If you edit one of the sub galleries when viewing in the admin, is there anything in the password field?

No, nothing. I can import using FTP into the sy-upload folder ok. I have tried tests with both upper and lower case passwords and neither are being assigned to the images.

The passwords typically look like this "3G8LTBYD" and I have been putting the .csv file in the folder with the photos in their own sub folders that are named with the same file name as the photo file.

I am making sure that the name of the folder that is being FTPed is exactly the same as the gallery name that it is being imported into as well.

Hi Tim,

I have got the photos uploading with passwords by having them in each photo folder. Couldn't get it working with the .csv file so gave up on that way. Luckily, I have a piece of software that puts each photo into its own folder with a password so that makes it easier.

All of my school photography is done in February so I am going through the new website and trying to make sure it all runs smooth in every aspect so there are no problems on shoot days. To that end, I have encountered another issue that I will start a new thread for.

Cheers
Steve
