Discount Only On Certain Products?

I'm planning to have a Black Friday sale ( well, everyone else is!!) and have been trying to work out how to give a 50% discount on electronic images (downloads). I don't really want to discount prints - and for me, the electronic images are pretty useless now as the events they were taken at are in the past - so any sales are good sales.

I can't work out any way of doing this with coupons. Ordinary coupons are across all products. Bonus coupons can't be configured this way either (or can they???)

I guess that the only way that this can be done is to adjust the base price, then adjust it back later?

The only way to make a coupon not discount the prints is to edit those prints and set it to do not allow discounting. But you may not want to do that for other coupons.

There isn't a way to limit the coupons to just download products. Maybe you can do something with the download credits to do this

In the end, I edited the price list and then did a bulk edit of all the Galleries to make sure that they were all using the same price list. I didn't realise you could search for all galleries using a particular price list. Nor did I realise you could change the price list as a batch edit either.

In hindsight, I should have copied duplicated the existing price list, edited that, and then replaced the existing one with a Black Friday one using batch edit. Then reverted to the original price list later.
