Tim
What code would I need to remove the Quantity selector, for prints, from the customers order form?

You mean so they can't purchase more than 1?

Design -> Edit My Theme

Additional CSS in the left menu

add this code:

.photoprod .qty { display: none; }
.adjustqty { display: none; }

This will remove the quantity option for all photo products though.

I made this change so that I can now show the most popular options on one screen.
I had to do away with the quantity selector because for some reason, with the additional options, the quantity discount would not compute and if a customer ordered two copies of a print it would just double the original amount.

Now, everything computes correctly but a new problem has shown up. When I receive a print order this is what is displayed in the Admin under Orders:

And this is what is shown if the customer checks the order in their account:

Under the Product Base settings the prints are correctly listed as prints.
There is no mention of pending downloads in the emails that I and the customer receive and no mention of pending downloads on the Packing Slip.
Would restricting the quantity to one cause this?

Is there suppose to be screen shots?

The hiding of the quantities shouldn't have an effect.

Found the answer in a previous support post:
When editing that product, change the product type from print to download.

If "Do not allow download until I upload a replacement file or manually approve it." is checked, uncheck it, change it back to a Print product type and save.

Is there a way to hide the - [1] + field for a Collection? Like Thomas, I'm working on a First / Additionals pricing model for my multi-image poster collection products. My reasoning is that a first copy should include the graphic design charge on top of the print itself, but since the design is already done, a second print of it shouldn't cost as much.

There isn't a way to remove the quantity option for the packages. The only way to do it would remove the quantity option for everything.

You could create an option for it to select the number of prints they would want.

I'd like to remove the quantity selector for all of my items in the "other" products. Is there a similar code I use to do this as you recommended here for "print" products. I wish to have none of my "other" product have a quantity option.

There is no way to do it for just certain product types.

Sorry...I'm just worried I wasn't clear with what I was asking for. When you "create new product" to the "product base", the window that opens has a pull down menu called "product type". From that menu you can choose ...

Print
Download
Other

When you create a product as a "print" or "other", when it's added to a price list, in the customer gallery there is a by default a quantity option. Thomas the O.P. here has asked about removing the quantity selector from the "print" product type and you offered some code to add in order to make that work with the caveat that it will make all products in that section not have a quantity selector which is fine for our purposes only I want to do this with the "other" product type.

So just to confirm...you can do what I need to do only with the "print" product type and not with the "other" product type? or are you saying if this code was added, nothing at all would have a quantity selector including prints (which we need them to have)

Sorry to be thick but this is important and I want to make sure my question wasn't misunderstood.

For instance if I added

.otherprod .qty { display: none; }
.adjustqty { display: none; }

instead of

.photoprod .qty { display: none; }
.adjustqty { display: none; }

would that only affect the other products and not the print products...or is this

.photoprod .qty { display: none; }
.adjustqty { display: none; }

universal for getting rid of all quantity selectors in all products?

There is just not a way to do this. You can not remove the quantity option for just certain products and product types.
