When I create a new gallery, I am trying to figure out the best way to notify the client about their new gallery.
Is that the preferred method?
Is there a way to notify the client of their new account credentials from within Sytist?
Thanks in advance,
-Darin
- It seems like I need to create an account for the client first.
- Then let the client know via email outside of Sytist about their new account credentials. And ask them to change their password.
- Then make the client the owner of the gallery.
- Then send the client the "Gallery Owner" e-mail from within Sytist.

You don't have to create them an account. When viewing the gallery in the admin, click the People tab. There you can send them an email with the link to the gallery and password for the gallery if it is password protected.
Then they can create their own account if they want to add to favorites and such.

Hi Tim,
Thanks for the reply.
So, when I click on People, I just manually type in their e-mail and edit the email content and replace tags like [FIRST_NAME] & [LAST_NAME] manually.
Then send the e-mail?
When the client creates an account, then will that sent e-mail show up in their account once created?
The tricky part is that while I could encourage the client to create an account so I can make them the owner, I don't want to force everyone to create an account before viewing the gallery.
I noticed that the two clients I created accounts for and then sent them the gallery owner e-mail, they have viewed the gallery but never actually logged into their account. I guess they don't care about having owner privileges or saving their favorites, etc.
