Images Uploading As "empty Files"

When I'm uploading images to a gallery the image upload panel shows it uploading, and shows it 100% complete without error, but when I go to the gallery all I see are file names with blank squares... no pictures. When I click to "view" the gallery the page opens with broken images... any ideas what's going on? I've tried different computers so it's not my system, and the images are viewable in different programs, so it's not the images either... help!!

This started a few days ago so I thought it was because I had such an old version of Sytist, but an update to the newest version hasn't changed anything

Could you possibly be out of space on your hosting? Are the photo files larger than what you normally upload?

I have this problem as well. It is reoccurring and I have yet to determine the cause, as of to date, and the support through picture pro/sytist has yet to determined the cause either. I just sort of gave up and didn't load that image, which honestly is not the answer.

I always resize my images to the appropriate size and dimensions applied in settings, and still....blank images.

Amy in the past I've had random images not upload but it was always due to them being over the file size limit, and when I'd resize them they would upload no problem, just FYI in case it helps! :)

Tom, I thought that may be the case so I deleted a whole bunch of old files off my account but it's still not uploading. (I should clarify... it is uploading, and while those empty image boxes still show the photo size nothing can be viewed. I've tried other computers just in case and it's always the same)

It seems to be having further issues as well, but on the admin side. A client went through her wedding album proofing gallery and approved every page. Sytist sent me an email saying the album had been proofed, but there was no name or personal info in the email, it was just the blank template, and when I went into the gallery all my pages still said "pending review" and her visit wasn't registered against her gallery either.

Any ideas? I'm going through another gallery site for the moment to get my clients their galleries, but it's not ideal.

Thanks so much!

You will need to email me a link to your Sytist admin with the username and password so I can test it.

I'm having the same issue on my site.... I've checked my host admin, deleted all images that were expired (which I didn't think that was the problem anyway) as of now, I have a single gallery created on Sytist with 128 images (300kb or less per image) and I've empty squares with image file numbers, once upload is completed and no error messages, I cannot preview any of the photos.
What was the solution to this problem? I've tried even a different template just to see if my template got corrupted or something. Please let me know.

Check the file dimensions. They could be too large for the server to process.

Hello Tim,

I'm still having problems, my site was working before the upgrade to v. 2.7.2 and here's how happened. I had a school shoot with over 3000 images separated into two classes. All the orders were finalized and galleries did expire. I upgraded the system to latest version, then I deleted those 2 galleries and their images, tried to create a new gallery with 128 images (low-res) and no joy. I went to Cpanel to find out that there were lots of images inside of the sy-photos that should have been removed from Sytist Admin area when you choose to delete completely out of the system.... Apparently, they remain on Cpanel. I deleted them from their folders and also increased the memory as you recommended from 512M to 1024M and no joy. I've attached a picture of the CPanel and my empty gallery showing only empty thumbnails on my site. Any suggestions?

It looks to me you are missing the sy-photos folder from inside your clients folder. Is there one inside your clients folder? Or perhaps it got moved?

Tim, you're right! There's no sy-photos folder inside my clients folder. I'm not sure how it got moved.
Now is working! Thank you for your help.
