Clf Display No Longer Working.

The option for CLF has stopped working. If I turn it on in the home page, I get a blue square with a question mark in it (even though the page is fully loaded with images), and secondly the option button for a CLF option anywhere else on newly created pages has disappeared altogether. It's driving me completely crazy. Should I reinstall?

Sounds like maybe you deleted a section or something like that that was included to show content from in the CLF Display. Can you post or email me a link to see it? If you don't have it live, you can click the preview button when editing the CLF display and send the link in the address bar.

I haven't deleted anything. I rarely go in to the root folder, leaving Sytist to do the work.
However I just tried to do what you suggest, starting with the CLF turned on in the home page and I'm now getting this error:
'MYSQL ERROR: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ') ORDER BY date_date DESC, date_time DESC' at line 1
Query: SELECT *,date_format(date_date, '%M %e, %Y ') AS date_show_date , time_format(date_time, '%h:%i %p') AS date_time_show FROM ms_calendar LEFT JOIN ms_blog_categories ON ms_calendar.date_cat=ms_blog_categories.cat_id WHERE date_id>'0' AND page_under='0' AND CONCAT(date_date, ' ', date_time)

Tim, I don't know where my reply has gone, but I've tried contacting you again via PM (and my site is open, but display still not working correctly). Please can I have an update. I've tried your suggestions but to no avail. Should I reinstall, and if so, how is best to go about this bearing in mind my original version is 0.8 or so. Thanks.

I emailed you back a few days ago. Here is what I wrote:
I can't see the home page because you have your site set to closed. But go to Site Content -> Manage Home Page and just hit save.
Then click the CLF Display and save there.
I think a category or section was deleted from the admin. So see if that clears it up.
The CLF display isn't available for just standard pages. It is only available on the home page and in sections / categories.

Hi Tim,
Yes, I've already got that message, that's why I just said that I did what you suggested. However your suggestions didn't work. I'm at a loss at what to do next.
Kind regards,
Tom

Go to Site Content -> Manage Home Page. Click the CLF-Display tab then the Preview button. Copy that link from the address bar and post it here so I can see the preview of it.

I think it's one of 2 things.
1) In the CLF-Display settings, you have "select what to display" set to "Pages from sections or categories" but nothing selected under "Select the categories which you want to display pages from"
2) You have "select what to display" set to "Photos selected for the page", but don't have any photos uploaded to the home page in the photos tab.

I've tried both of your suggestions. Neither of them are fixing anything. However despite your suggestion of not having any photos uploaded to the home page, I actually have a lot of photos there, because if I turn off the CLF display, they all appear like as is to be expected:

Can you post a screen shot of the CLF-Display settings?

Of course it's not.
But your CLF-Display seems to be working now. Did you change any of the settings?

That is completely bizarre. I've changed nothing at all. But yes, it is working now. Completely flummoxed as this hasn't been working for weeks. :-/

It's acting a little erratically though. But I guess that's something else?

I've just contacted the owner of the server, and he hasn't been tweaking either. How strange.
Well that's very good news. I was at the ready to switch to a Wordpress package too. But only Sytist and a handful of others accept WorldPay, because I've found some clients don't like PayPal.
Thanks for the help.
Cheers. :)
