Shared Server, Stripe Processing, And Ssl

Quick question. My Sytist site is currently on a VPS hosting account with an SSL and setup to process cc's through Stripe. I had to have a VPS for PCI scanning compliance with my previous merchant service. Now that I have switched to Stripe (and they don't require site scanning for PCI compliance), I was wondering if it would be safe (from a credit card processing point of view) to move my site to a shared server account with an SSL certificate?? It would save a ton of money every year. Thank you very much!!

Yes it would be fine to use shared hosting with your SSL and all.
