I would love to see some kind of wall display mockup capability. This could perhaps be something where I could upload multiple "walls" in the admin and then for each client gallery select some of the proofs to mockup for clients to see. I'm doing this manually today. But, since you already have the "green background" capability, this may not be a big stretch to develop. This capability would fantastic for clients to see how their images would look in real world settings and let them see what large artwork really is since many times they think an 8x10 is "large".

For the Calendar: The ability to further customize a shoot so that it can only be scheduled a certain time. I like the "once per day" feature, but when I was testing it out I realized that if I only have evening hours available on three days of week and morning hours another two days a week, all five days will show up on the calendar screen, even if they are booking a sunset session, for example. Then if they click on a date that only has morning hours available, they will get to the next page where it shows the time slots and realize there are no evening slots available left for a sunset shoot. Then they have to click back and try a different date, trying to find a date that has evening hours available. If I could mark a sunset session as only available between 6pm-9pm for example, when they go to the calendar screen, only the days that have evening hours available would show up. Does that make sense? I have the same problem with newborn sessions, as I only schedule those M/W/S *mornings*, so I don't want all those other days of the week showing up as available.

Also, the "lunch break" feature is a workaround, but I would also like the ability to set the calendar hours in multiple chunks of time, i.e. Mondays between 8:30-12pm and 6:30-9pm.

Calendar Sync.

I?m a Mac user and I currently use a Wordpress Plugin for my calendar and scheduling. The plugin will allow me to subscribe to different calendars I have created on Mac Calendar and will then block off times it finds on those calendars.

It also allows for the reverse. My Mac Calendar can see my Wordpress Plugin calendar.

So, if I have a lunch, coffee scheduled on Mac Calendar on a certain day, the plugin sees the appointment and will not allow appointments of any kind to be booked during that time slot.

This is also helpful because I can see my wife?s calendar on Mac Calendar as well, and if there is an event that requires both of us in attendance, I can then make a duplicate appointment which the plugin will then see and block off for me.

Thank you.

I love the look and feel of your calendar. Thank you so very much for continuing to advance your product.

I?m a one man studio.
Kids are home for summer break.

Two services:
In studio headshot session.
Location headshot session.

Lets say on a particular day my wife is home until 1pm before she leaves for work, so she can watch the kids while I shoot on location until then.

How can I make it so on a certain day, during a specific block of time, a certain service can not be booked? I can only leave for location services while my wife is here to watch the kids.

Currently I am using a Wordpress Plugin which allows you to manipulate a service??s schedule with individual ?Exceptions?. It allows me to say, for this service, on this day, don?t allow this service to be booked during a particular time block. This allows me to plug in my wife's work schedule a month or more in advance as I learn of her schedule.

It allows me to book in studio headshot sessions all day long, and block off times for my location service when I know my wife will not be here to watch my kids.

Thank you again for your new calendar system!

Love the new calendar. Was hoping there would be a way when creating a session type that there would be a special event option, but you could select a wide range of dates. This would help when we run a promotion ie. Fall session packages from Sept 1-Oct 30. That way it could limit their booking to the designated dates.

Thank you!

I like how the count of expiring galleries was moved to the leftmost column from the center one. This is much better placement for mobile phones. I would like to see the list of shopping carts moved there as well.

1) Would like the ability to limit a coupon to a product like only downloads. This way could give a coupon for free downloads, or give a discount for prints, etc.

2) The ability to either setup the coupon for certain galleries or within the gallery select what coupons can be used in that gallery.

Thanks for all your help Tim.

Could all options from the booking section selected be listed on an invoice and any email reminders be listed?

IE: Service is listed as a Senior Session
I have a session scheduled with an upgrade to a location session.
Client selects starts time at 9:00 and with the upgrade it ends at 10.30.
Another option client selected would include pre-purchase of digital files.
Another option would be entered by the client in a text field (in this case the actual location)

Would really like the invoice and subsequent reminders to read something like:
Senior Session,
Date/Time
On-Location (the option name),
All digital Files (another option)
Location: (from text field)

I think the info is somewhere in the software since it comes up in the booking calendar detail but I can''t find it (and wouldn't know what to do with it if I did find it)

Thanks again.

Not sure if it was ever mentioned, but a feature where you could easily allow a client to download any of their own 'favorites' within a gallery without manual interruption would be awesome.
I don't want to have to manage all kinds of manual process just to give pictures if the client have paid for them, or if it's a 'family / friends' gallery.

Thank you for considering this feature.

Great revisions on the site Tim!! Wanted to touch base on a few more things...

1. View stats on images - photocart had one line under each image in the admin side saying how many times the above image was viewed. Can we add that to sytist?

2. Favorites link - on admin side, add a 'favorites' link for a gallery on the top tab menus - just for convenience sake.

3. Jump to gallery - another feature in photocart that was handy for quickly finding anything.

4. Search wildcards - using an asterisk "*" as a wildcard when searching the DB - handy when not sure what the spelling of a gallery is, for example.

5. Front-end Image uploads - I know I've asked this and it has a multitude of challenges attached, but would LOVE the ability for a client to upload an image and then have it pertain to a pricelist. ei, for clients to order prints and products of their own image. Currently am using a dropbox plugin that allows an upload but not in any way connected to the product page it is on.

6. Admin Upload other files - Would love to see the upload interface have the ability to intelligently upload and sort video files or PDFs into a gallery instead of having to use the 'all files' section and a link.

7. Upload preview images - often we have a need to use the same image in various galleries as a placeholder. Would like the option when uploading a preview image to load it from an existing folder instead of uploading it every time it is needed, much like a media folder in wordpress.

8. Plateau Bonuses - it has been touched on by others. Would like to set an automatic ordering bonus for a gallery. Could be done on individual gallery or category level. Set the order amount, then what the bonus product is. When the customer hits the amount, it is added to the cart as a free/bonus item.

Thanks for the continued service!

In addition to the Plateau Bonus that Rob suggested, I would really like a way to upsell products and services based on what people have added to their cart. I'd like a way to suggest enlargements when someone orders a 5"x7" or upsell a canvas wrap when someone has added an 11"x14" print or even suggest an album when someone orders a large canvas.

Also, I would like the ability to tie a coupon to a specific service or print/collection that is offered. Just offering $XXX or xx% is too generic. I need a way to encourage people to consider other options which directly relates to my "upsell capability" request.

Keep up the great work!

Billboard slides active/inactive setting.

Creating a billboard with text effects can be time consuming; I like to rotate my special offers / messages so it would be nice to be able to "turn off" a specific billboard slide and reactivate it a few months later.

not sure if this one was mentioned. I would like to be able to apply a discount when creating an invoice. That way the discount is reflected to the client and also helps me not have to do the math on the entire invoice to remove the discounted amount.

Would be nice to do this on individual items and/or the total amount of the order.

Other than already mentioned tag cloud, it would be nice to have an option to have a menu item visibility triggered not only by the user being registered, but also hidden for the logged in users. That would allow to post articles like "Why register", describing benefits of creating an account. And removing the clutter once they are registered and logged in.

I really appreciate the new features each time they come out! Here are two requests on my remaining list:

* In the gallery expiration email to the gallery owner, have the option to charge for an ongoing extension / renewal. Ex: if a gallery is set to auto expire in 90 days, the email would offer the owner an opportunity to pay $__ monthly or annually to keep the gallery active. A courtesy reminder would go out just prior to the renewal charge, and the owner would be able to cancel at any point. If the owner cancels or the renewal payment doesn't process in time, the gallery will go offline.

* Being able to create gallery types, ex: engagement, maternity, wedding, so there can be different defaults and settings applied to each type. Ex: Engagements could expire in 14 days by default, share the same layout, and have a default price list that is different from wedding, maternity, etc. The default expiration email for the Engagement type could be different from the default Wedding expiration email, for example. When we're creating a gallery, we'd be able to designate whether it's a wedding, engagement, etc.

I know these are big ideas, but figured I'd at least put them out there. They'd be infinitely useful to us, and likely others.

Thanks!

Hi Tim,

I would like the feature improvement of the checkout area in Sytist.

At the moment the "State" section in the checkout area above "Country" seems a bit confusing for website visitors. It is showing all states in all countries, I would like to see if the visitors selected one country such as Australia, only the states in Australia will show.

Another thing is I noticed that if Northern Territory (Australia) is selected, it will actually change to Northwest Territories (CA) for some reason. Please have a look into it.

Thanks,
Alexander

Rebuilding images. P-l-e-a-s-e. Every gallery software available today has one.

Let's say, I have 10,000+ images on my site. And I've decided to change something – pixel dimensions for some particular size, or the watermark/logo… The only way to apply any changes now would be deleting and re-uploading all 10,000 photos. Yet by default we're keeping original uploads. C'mon, even prehistoric Menalto Gallery can do a rebuild/re-render.

Thank you.

It would be huge help if the Booking Calendar could be synced with a specific Google Calendar! This would allow all sessions to be managed within Sytist and have the info viewable on mobile devices and applications that use a Google Calendar without double entering everything.

Is it possible when admin only notes are made on orders that an alert be automatically generated on the main order page - similar to when there are client notes or approval of downloads pending? (see attached)

I've been in business 30 years, and I have used many different online gallery systems. I have an idea I have not seen before.

There are many reasons I decided to go with Sytist, one of which was SEO. I was tired of sending traffic to a gallery service which I did not host myself. I want Google to see all of the traffic happening on my site.

That being said, I now want my customers to help me generate even more traffic to my Sytist galleries.

You already have an Early Bird Special, but what if a special could be created based upon how many unique visitors there were to a particular gallery?

"Thank you Jennifer for allowing me to photograph your wedding. Your gallery is now live. All items will be marked down to 50% off when your gallery reaches 100 unique visitors. And when your gallery reaches 250 unique visitors you will be able to download your high resolution wedding images at no charge, normally a $1000 value!"

Have any thoughts on this idea?

Since we're already parsing ICMP metadata for keywords, why not add an option to size images in a masonry view according to their star rating? Or for simplicity's sake, just 2 options – default and highlight. For example, less than 4 stars – default. 4 or 5 stars – double size in masonry view, and automagically add it to "photographer's favorites".

Just a thought.

1) The new booking calendar includes the option to specify the session reminder email text. PLEASE include the me session reminder email functionality for calendar events that are set up manually and associated with a contact.

2) Please include expiration date functionality for the new calendar/event pages similar to how the gallery expiration works . I would like them to disappear from the list of calendar/events and display a message like "Event is no longer available"

I would love to have the ability to have a report for an event available in the report section even after the event has expired. It would help keep track of expenses, taxes etc.

To also have the event a person orders from available in the Export report section. Yes, I know some order from multiple events, but if at least the main event could be listed, that would be very helpful.

Hi Tim!

I have a feature request for the downloads options.

Multiple watermarking options when offering downloads with multiple sizes to customers.

Example:
0,Full Size,No Watermark
1920,Wallpaper,Bottom Watermark (I have a 32 pixel watermark along the bottom for 1920x1080 photos)
1280,Sharable,Full Watermark

When using the Replace Photos feature, would it be possible to have the option to have the file replaced on both the order and the gallery in one action? Right now, if I replace the photo in the gallery, while it does change the image data which technically does change the photo on the order - the name on the order stays original, and does not change to the edited name. This means I need to replace the image on both the gallery photo and order photo so the names remain consistent, which doubles the process.

As I mostly shoot events and have many repeat customers the following would be a very useful feature.

Purchasable pricing schemes

Users can pay a subscription to go on to a different pricing structure for a set period of time, but not looking at a continuous subscription.

This The system would need to add them to the different price list and remove them when the subscription expires. They would also need subscription ending notifications.

An ability to assign a special price list to the user for a particular gallery. For example, I can create a "Free Large Download" price list and assign it to the client, but that would give her an ability to download any photo from any gallery.

Thanks for the new bonus coupon feature!

I would love to be able to select "buy all" products for a bonus coupon rather than a collection - or to be able to add "buy all" products to a collection.

This is because we give all the digital images free after a minimum print investment. Currently they are instructed to put the digitals (a buy all product) in their cart along with their printed products, then enter a coupon code to get their digitals for free. The coupon code discounts the $ amount of the digitals; but, since this is based on a discount off of a cart total, the coupon would still give them the same amount off even if they filled the cart total with all prints.

A way to collapse the list of images for a "buy all" product in an order - so that it shows they bought x of all images, instead of x of image 1, x of image 2, x of image 3, x of image 4, x of image 5...

(or another similar solution that helps clarify the order and packing slip).

Our idea is collapsing, so that when we sell a "buy all" of all the digital images, the client can still "twirl down" the whole list to download each image one by one if preferred.

I have 2 coupon feature requests -

1) The new bonus coupon feature is great! Please consider adding functionality to enable the bonus coupon based on a specific item being in the shopping cart vs just a minimum cart amount. For example, I would like to offer a discount on Collection A if Collection B is purchased.

2) I would like to offer BOGO specials. Examples include: 1) buy 1 8x10 get 1 8x10 of the same image free, 2) buy 1 set album get 1 identical album 50% off, and 3) buy 1 canvas get 1 canvas of the same 25% off.

Thanks!

My biggest request would be including all of the EXIF data in the images when someone downloads them. With the capability to read the data and use it in Sytist I don't see a reason why the EXIF should be purged from the images.

I put a lot of info into the EXIF info, and for some of our events it would be nice to be able to track what is being used by a hashtag since I know Facebook automatically pulls data from captions and headlines.

Either way, figure all info gets stripped when downloaded.

Thanks!

I would like to option to require people to check the "checkbox" options for Services (i.e. have to ability to mark a checkbox as a "Required Option"). This would allow me to use it in instances where I want to have contract-like options like "I agree to ..." and require people to acknowledge they have read the terms.

All of the other option types (e.g. tab menu, dropdown, etc) have the ability to mark it as a "Required Option"

Great work as always!! The recent addition of having customers' favorite images on the home page is excellent. We would really like to see favorites link(s) in the customers admin page as well. Perhaps along the top tabs (text & settings, photos, 'Favorites', etc) so that it is easy to find them in one place when there are multiple favorites lists from multiple people looking at the same gallery. :)

Hello, brand new to Sytist, and really looking forward to using it. Is it possible to have times that are not in 5 minute increments? We want to book sports teams online and a lot of them have 6 minute, 7 minute, 8 minute etc. time slots, so 5 and 10 don't work for those.

There is currently an option to require an account at checkout. But, I would like the option to require someone to have an account and be logged in before they can add anything to their cart. This will allow me to capture email addresses and follow up when someone abandons their cart.

Would love to see two things:

1. When creating galleries and adding gallery owners - if the person is not in the list have an +add owner option that allows you to populate client info during gallery creating
2. Import People from csv or excel so we can bulk add people.

Thanks!

The PhotoCart feature that I miss the most in Sytist is the ability to see how many views each individual image has had. This helps me to know the kinds of poses that have the most appeal and so makes me a better photographer.

I would also like to have the ability to turn off the social media sharing icons for a specific category. For my boudoir shoots I would like to eliminate the possibility of those being used. Along that line, can you tell me if someone does share a password protected gallery, will it show a preview photo on the social media site?

I like the option for the Bonus coupon, but would like the option to be able to give discounts on specific items if another item is purchased from the price list.
For example one of our price lists is for sports organizations on their initial order form they can get a discounted team picture with the order of a package. So we would like to create that the same way in the price group. If they purchase a package A they will get a team picture for a discounted price.

Thanks

I would also love a way to pull a list of favorites from a specific gallery that includes the names of the clients who's favorite they are. Or maybe some kind of wish list for the clients, also with a way to separate by gallery.
To explain this a little, we take pictures for a group or team, they place an order the day of the shoot but when the pictures are posted to the gallery they have the option to go in and select the image they want and in some cases what digital background and orientation. We currently have them select favorites, including sample background images. and then have to sort through all the recent favorites to find them.

I would like to accomplish this without them having to complete an order online that we could only print individually. Instead have a wish list maybe that can be collected as a list per gallery that could be quickly sorted.

Hi Tim,

I know other folks are asking for better photo searching facilities. I was wondering whether it would be possible to include a meta data search? I would like to be able to search by keyword either globally or within individual galleries/sub galleries. Could this be done? I am particularly keen for galleries of sports events where bib numbering is used. if possible, multiple criteria searches would be fantastic.

Thanks

1. Allow the client to enter in the amount they would like to pay towards an invoice instead of being forced to pay the entire balance. Think of when you go to pay your credit card online or cell phone bill, you can pay the "entire balance due", "Minimum Amount" or "Specific Amount". This is great for when I sell a large package and then won't have to create a new invoice each month for payment plans.

2. Ability to link my booking calendar to my Google Calendar or iCloud Calendar so times and dates are consistent across all my calendars.

3. Ability to add a buffer or travel-time to a specific booking on the booking calendar to help avoid schedule conflicts.

4. Get the Proofing Galleries optimized for mobile - currently the viewing is clunky and clients cannot add comments when they hit "Revise" on some phones. When communicating with email these days we have to assume the client is using their phone to view and click through.

5. Let the client zoom-in on the image when in a Proofing Gallery.

6. In a Proofing Gallery, it would be great for me to be able to create some custom radio button or checkbox options for the client to select instead of an open text area when they hit "Revise". People are just emailing me directly to communicate the changes, so I'm trying to figure out how to make this step simplified for them and have them use the site instead.

7. Allow a Deposit option for regular Store products and services (not needed for gallery site items). Big ticket items like Save the Date cards and Add-On wedding coverage would be an easier upsell if the initial cost to purchase is a little easier to swallow.

Thanks so much Tim!

Image Overlay,
I know the subject came up a while ago, shortly after Green Screen was released. I haven't heard back that i can remember, butI would love to see the ability to have an overlay option as well as Green Screen background. Here is 2 samples. The first one is with GS BR as well as an overlay. there are also instances where i would like to give the option of a school mascot or Text overlay. Hopefully available prior to next football season.
