Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

I called bluehost when I was not able the access the admin of photocart

http://www.danielosborne.ca/photocart/

(This page isn’t working

www.danielosborne.ca is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500)

The bluehost guy just told me it is a problem with this :

I find the error log that says: thrown in /home1/danielu1/public_html/photocart/pc_inc/functions.core.php on line 9

We did nothing for months and it worked just fine.. and suddenly can't access it!

He says he can't do nothing.. that the problem is the %*%* file /pc_inc/functions.core.php . what can I do?
Can you help?

Most likely you or your host updated the PHP version on your hosting to PHP 7 which is why there is a 500 error and/or blank page. Photo Cart is not compatible with PHP 7. You or your host will need to downgrade the PHP version to something like PHP 5.4 or 5.6.

Hi Tim!

Thanks for the answer... I did ask bluehost to roll back to the older version .. but now I get this :

Unable to connect to the databaseAccess denied for user 'danielu1_cart'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
Which file I have to modify to match the database password?

Found it!

As often.... I answered my own questions!!! ;-)

In Photo Cart the configuration file is setup.php in your Photo Cart folder.
