Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

A Couple Of Problems

I'm running the most up-to-date version of PC and have been using it for 10 years now, so I feel like I know what I'm doing, but I'm stumped now! :)

For a few months now, I've had people tell me they can't register because it won't accept their email as valid. It doesn't seem to be consistent with any specific email carrier. I can create a registration and send them the info, but they can't create an account themselves.

Second, my website was hacked a few weeks ago. As of yesterday it is completely cleared up, but my Photocart site isn't showing properly to visitors. The log in page doesn't show up at all, and all I can see is the header and logo and menu bar, but can't click anything, no galleries show up, and I can't do anything on the client side.

Any and all help is appreciated. I have been hoping to upgrade to Sytist for a while but we have had a rough start to the year and the finances just aren't there. :(

I don't know the link to your Photo Cart so can see what it looks like. But you should download these Photo Cart files and upload them following the upgrade instructions so the files are clean.
