Attention
If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.
You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.
Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.
Access Code On Pre-registration
Thank you for your reply to my previous question, I hope you don't mind me asking another one.
We have been testing if it is possible to use the gallery?s URL to link clients straight to the gallery for their event photos rather than navigating through our website. However, when they click the link and the gallery is in Pre-Register status, it seems that they can log in and sign up for pre-registration without providing an access code. This means that when we send information out to everyone who has pre-registered, we can?t be 100% sure that they attended the event. I realise that it might be easier to stick to having the clients navigate through the website like normal, but even if we weren?t to send out the gallery?s URL, we are still concerned that people may find their way directly to the page and sign up without the access code. Is there a way to to ensure they have to enter the code upon pre-registration? Thanks for your time in considering this.
