Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

I entered a large order for a client yesterday logged in as her and when I clicked to check out, it just spins and nothing happens. I've tried different browsers and computers and tried again today. Still nothing. My connection is fine, all other sites load fine. I also noticed a few weeks back I can't run a report, same thing happens, nothing. I checked my host and it is listed as php 5.5. Host is Pow Web. Do you think this is a host issue? I haven't updated anything myself and until now Photo Cart has always worked well. There are no error messages.

Having same problem. A customer just contacted me that she tries to submit order and it's just spinning it's wheels and going no where. She closed out and tried again with the same thing. My host just updated PHP version this morning trying to possibly remedy the problem I was having about numerous emails going to customers, when paying thru paypal.

Kristy, would you look at your email logs sent to customers and see if they are getting the 'payment sent' notices over and over sent to them?? I am starting to suspect this might be a connection to paypal. I"ve had a few customers report they are getting 15-20+ emails stating they have made a payment. The "you placed an order" or "you registered" emails are only going out once to customers, but the ones saying they "made a payment" have gone out over and over and over... ugh. Every couple minutes they are sending out to customers. And now this problem that they are trying to complete an order and it just sits and spins tells me something might be with paypal? Is paypal who your payments are directed through? I have contacted my host and am now in the process of trying to get answers from paypal.

Jadine- I do use Paypal, but the problem seems to be on the admin side and no weird email logs. I made a fake user account and have no issue checking out, only when logging in as the customer and clicking "check out" in the cart. Which version of php are you on? Hope yours resolves soon!

I believe I'm on php 5.4.24 version. I too had customer hanging up on trying to checkout and now I cannot send emails (tried to send invoice) thru the system. It will spin it's wheels but never shows it goes through. It actually is going through to customer, NUMEROUS times. Ughh. I have contacted Tim. I never change anything in the settings as I'm not real savvy on this stuff, so I pretty much leave things alone. I did notice today that my "time" was an hour off so I did find where to reset that to the correct time. Spent much of the day with tech support with my host but they're telling me script settings are off somewhere. How do those things get changed if I don't go in and do anything ever?? Frustrating. I just called a customer to apologize that she is STILL receiving emails after TWO days of placing an order. I lost count of how many she has received but looks like 20+ emails to her over 2 days time. :(

Kristy, have you been using a SSL on your site for checkout and if so has it expired?

It hasn't expired (will in 69 days) and I was able to check out under a different user just not with this order/client. When I checked the SSL that site said "We recommend that you reissue or replace this certificate with one that uses a SHA-2 signature." Could that be causing this problem?

Or perhaps the order is too big for my host? It eventually it just gives me the "connection reset" page. There are 54 images in the order, not my largest, but I wonder if the size is impacting it in some way?

What else could explain my inability to generate a report?
Thanks!!

I really don't know. You will need to email me the link to your Photo Cart admin with the username and password so I can look into it. Also the name of the customer you are trying to checkout as that times out.
