Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

Digital Download Link Not Being Sent To Clients

Hi

I am probably being a twit, but I have a digital download option as a purchase and the link doesn't seem to be being sent out to enable the download.

I have created two options, one being an instant download and the other being a 'higher resolution one' being sent manually by e-mail.

One is set up

When I processed the images, I had the 'leave originals for download' box ticked.

The 'digital product' box is ticked on the email version, but not on the instant download version.
The 'Original size upload' is ticked for both.

I realise I must be being a bit stupid, but I wondered if anyone could point out obvious things to check.

Many thanks.

Bruce Foster

"The 'digital product' box is ticked on the email version, but not on the instant download version."

my guess is the digital product box should be checked on the instant download version.

Digital downloads don't get emailed to the customer. There will be a download button on the order (viewed on the website) next to the photo to download.

Hi tim

Sorry, I wasn't clear, my fault/

The download button isn't being emailed out or appearing.

Having looked more, it appears that although the items are paid for via PayPal, the payment notification isn't reaching the system.

Looks like I need to look into the handshaking from PayPal.

Log into your PayPal account then go to the following link:
https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-ipns-history

You should have a Search Results section. If nothing is in it, change the dates to when a payment was made.

Date/time created Message ID Status Transaction ID

What is under Status? If it says Disabled, then basically PayPal disabled IPN on your account because it made several unsuccessful attempts before. Probably caused by a server error or blocking IPN.
