Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

Out of nowhere I am getting Max Query Limit Exceeded (150,000) on MySql. My host says they haven't implemented anything new, maybe a hack. Any ideas?

I don't know why you would be getting an error but here is something that may fix it.

Go into your hosting control panel and create 2 database usernames. Give them both the same password.

Assign those users to your Photo Cart database.

Download and edit the setup.php file from inside your Photo Cart folder or edit it through the file manager in your hosting control panel.

Before the closing PHP tag ?> add this replacing user_name1 and user_name2 with the usernames

$db_user_array[] = "user_name1"; //enter 1st user name
$db_user_array[] = "user_name2"; //enter 2nd user name

Save.

Thank you. A much better response than I'm getting from my host, which is, Upgrade to a Private Server that might fix it.

I tried above solution to no avail. Kept getting some kind of password error. Reloaded original setup.php, now back to where I started.

Forgot to mention you need to update the $setup['pc_db_pass'] variable with the new password for the usernames.
