Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

New Galleries No Longer Show Up On My Ftp Site

When I create a new gallery it is no longer showing up on my FTP site where I usually bulk load. The FTP itself seems to work fine and my other galleries in photo cart work, but for some reason creating new galleries does not. Does anyone have any insight on what may be the problem? Thanks!!

You may need to refresh your FTP program while looking in the photos folder (F5 if you are using Filezilla). If that doesn't work, then you will need to right click on the "photos" folder and change the permissions to 777

Thanks for getting back to me Tim- I tried both suggestions but still not working. It looks like now the rest of the FTP site is acting weird. I can load things onto it, but I can't see them when I try to go to their link.

Sounds like an issue with the server. You may need to contact your host about it.

Sorry to bother but I did contact my host and they were doing an upgrade on their servers and told me to just wait it out- which I did, but now I can't access the photo cart at all. Will I need to reload the cart to the new server? Thanks so much!

Are you getting an error or something? If so, what is it? And are you by chance hosting at bigfolio?

You must be hosting with Bigfolio. If so I guess they did some server upgrades recently that has caused peoples database passwords to change. You will need to contact them to update the database password.

The current database password can be found in the setup.php file inside your Photo Cart folder.
