Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

Want To Move My Site To New Host - Afraid I Will Screw My Whole Site Up

First of all, I struggle with the whole website technical stuff. I use software called Web Easy professional 8 to create my site. (the whole "easy" word is why I originally purchased it years ago). It is a WYSISYG program and I go thru their "upload changes to your site" process to make changes to my site. I know nothing about ftp and httpdocs and all that greek stuff. I bought Photo Cart years ago and had Tim install on my site. I use Dave's Uploader to load everything there. Basically I am a "next" button junkie and don't change anything as long as it works and my site seems to look ok. Tim created a great thing that works well on the default settings, and Dave's Uploader is a Godsend as I post tons of photos from events, along with sr pics and a few weddings.
I am currently using ihost as my hosting company, as they were the ones that sort of went hand in hand with this WebEasy program when I bought it. I am now paying about $25 a month for my site and $15 each year to renew my domain name. They recently said I am over my 20GB allowed space and want to charge another $10 a month to add on 10 more GB. They say they dont offer unlimited space.
Am I being ripped off major??
I think I'm needing to move my site to somewhere else but need help and am getting lost in trying to search for a good host that will work with my WebEasy software and the Photo Cart stuff too.
I would be thrilled if anyone out there that would like to point me in the right direction and would like to reply to this plea for help. lol
I want to be able to continue to use my WebEasy program as it's what I'm used to and I really dont have time or desire to build my site thru another place.
Any suggestions from anyone?
my site is eyeofthehorsephotography.com if anyone wants to look . It's basic.. it's simple.. and I dont need fancy but i do need to display photos and lots of them.

Depending on the quality of the hosting, $35 a month isn't too bad. Yes you can get cheaper hosting around $10 per month, but a lot of those hosts have a "file limit" of around 250,000 files. And if you are using 20GB of storage, you probably have more than that in files.

If you want to move to a new host, here are the instructions (and 20GB is a lot to move):

And here is a list of compatible hosting companies:
