Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

Hi Tim, can you plaes tell me in what file I would fined the drop down list for the search bar that is on the top right hand side of the admin panel. Currently it auto populates to image....with customer being on the bottom of the list. Having used PC for 5 or 6 years now (and just to busy at present to keep working on getting Stytis up ) I have found that 99% of my seraches are for customers then orders. At present (and when in my busy period) I manually adding orders for clients (dont ask!!) and am using the search all the time. Having to drop down to click on customers adds seconds to each order and when you multiply that by 100's its significant (factor in tying the name, move hand to mouse etc.) So if I knew the file that had the drop down I could perhaps change the order.

Photo Cart -> admin -> admin.header.php

Around line 43 look for:

<select name="search_where">
<option value="customers">Customers</option>
<option value="images">Images</option>
<option value="orders">Orders</option>
<option value="galleries">Galleries</option>
</select>

Hi Adrian,
I dont have the code handy, but I removed the drop down all-together and replaced it with two search boxes. One for customers and one for orders.
For my own workflow, I find this much quicker as I never used any of the other options anyway.
My next mod is to build in a search for partial phone numbers, so I can start a search as soon as the phone rings.
