Attention
If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.
You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.
Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.
Photocart Pro
1. Variable Coupons (more discount options have often been requested)
2. Work on Mobile
3. Keyword
4. Require Package Purchase Before Purchasing Other Photo Products
One not listed is to be able to hide breadcrumbs on some galleries.
As great as it is to have lifetime free upgrades I have in reality had my monies worth from PhotoCart so if this is possibly the end of the line I am happy to pay for a PRO version upgrade or maybe that should be classed as an add on. More than happy to lay out my money to get better management options as I do not expect something for free.
So who else would put up say US$100 for a PRO management add on?
Mike
The problem with Tim offering a "pro" version is too many people here would cause a whiny storm that he said "free lifetime upgrades". I would still pay for it. Gladly. Those of us that actually use Photo Cart as part of our regular business flow understand we've got our money's worth from this product. And then some. One time fee for software including lifetime upgrades is not a sustainable business model, as is evidenced by the fact that he is abandoning Photo Cart. It's actually costing me money every single day that development is not put into Photo Cart that I WANT TO PAY TIM MORE MONEY FOR MORE FEATURES.
I've thrown out some random extended features on the forums for free, like a Windows order processor for digital photo orders. Free of charge, but without any support.
I have not found a better solution for volume events than Photocart and have regularly recommend it however that will be difficult for me to continue doing so if I know that it is not going to be further developed.
I do not care is the answer is a new gallery system but importantly I need to be able to transfer all existing galleries and images as I do not want to be administrating 2 different galleries.
This is is no way meant to be a knock at Tim but a request to open a dialogue to see what can be done.

Ive taken out Zenfolio for a year and just setting it up; but will still keep photocart active in the hope that something like this gets off the ground.
Thanks
