Photo Cart 6 is a free upgrade to existing Photo Cart users. When upgrading you will NOT lose any of your data (images, customers, etc...).

Upgrade Instructions

You basically just have to upload new files via FTP. Instructions located in the new manual in the Upgrading section. Also a page on Upgrading with screen shots available.

 

Be sure to read the Read Me First section before upgrading and the After you have upgraded section after upgrading.

 

Download the upgrade files

You will need your Photo Cart registration key to download the upgrade files which can be found on the home page of your Photo Cart administration area.

 

Upgrade Service Available

The upgrade is pretty simple if you know how to use your FTP program. An upgrade installation service for $25 where PicturesPro can install the upgrade on your website for you. You can purchase the upgrade installation service on the Buy page. After you have purchased and submitted your information, you can expect the upgrade to be completed within a few days.

What's New in Photo Cart 6

• Complete customer side redesign. Much faster and prettier.
• Redesign of the admin area
• New product  & product group display.
• New system to adding packages to cart and adding images to packages.
• A notice will shown if someone already has an image in the package
• Option to allow customers to crop their images
• New crop previews
• Packages Credits - add a credit amount for them to use to buy other products
• Download images in Packages & Print Credits
• Last selected product group stays open when navigating.
• Facebook Like for galleries. If someone Likes a gallery, then it will be posted on their wall along with the name, thumbnail and description of the gallery.

• Option to use HTML emails. When using HTML emails, a thumbnail of the gallery will be added when sending gallery access info & soon to expire emails.

Admin Customers Section

• Sort customer by totals sales amount
• Show customers with no sales
• Customers: batch add / change customer categories

Admin Galleries Section

• Sort by Early Bird Sepcial end date.
• Batch edit galleries and apply same value to all galleries selected
• You now have a display order value for Gallery Categories
• FTP process images now adds a random string hash to the file names. Makes guessing image filename almost impossible.
• Intead of going to a FTP upload process page, it shows right in the admin gallery view when images are waiting to be processed.
• Optional FTP link can be added to a view gallery page. In the Settings > Admin Settings, enter in your FTP url & username.
• Instead of how many thumbnails per row and number of rows, it is just total thumbnails per page.
• You can now search in the search section at the top for gallery ID and will pull up if a sub gallery (previously would only pull up main galleries).

       

Admin Orders Section

• Batch edit order statuses
• Sort orders by oldest  / newest

Admin Products & Pricing

• *Labels are now called "Product Groups"
• Batch edit price group product groups
• New short & long descriptions for groups. Short description shown when group closed, long description shown when group is open.
• New Add images to package description you can add for each package.
• When uploading sample images to packages it will remember the max width/height you enter in.

Admin Settings Section

• Added a function to send a test email in the Settings > Mail Settings.
